In the U.S. a native of Ukraine condemned the illegal export of technologies to Russia

WASHINGTON, 5 Jan — RIA Novosti. A native of Ukraine, a citizen of the USA, Vladimir Nevidomy sentenced to 26 months in prison after he pleaded guilty to conspiring to illegal export of dual-use technologies to Russia, said the Ministry of justice of the United States.

“Thirty-two year old Vladimir Nevidomy, Florida, was sentenced to 26 months in prison, followed by three years of supervision, for conspiracy of illegal export to Russia of devices of night vision and thermal vision military use and ammunition,” — said in a statement.

Nevidomy earlier pleaded guilty in court to conspiracy, illegal export of dual-use technologies to Russia. According to court documents, in 2013 clients from Russia contacted Nevedomym with a request to send them from the United States samples of night vision devices, including rifles, parts and ammunition.

Nevidomy bought some samples, money for these purposes he moved through the Chinese and Latvian Bank. After that, he sent the goods to Russia, not putting their real identity. One of the packages was detained at U.S. customs, and then Vitalij detained. The mentioned goods are subject to compulsory licensing of the state Department in the export.
