The U.S. imposed import duties on steel and aluminium from the EU, Canada and Mexico

According to the Minister for trade negotiations with the EU has not brought enough progress to extend the exception

The administration trump announced the introduction of strict import duties on steel and aluminium from the European Union, Canada and Mexico.

This was announced on Thursday, the U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, saying that a 25 percent duty on steel and 10 per cent duty on aluminium from the EU, Canada and Mexico will come into force at midnight.

According to him, negotiations with the EU has achieved some progress, but not enough to extend the exceptions in question on fees.
