Condemnation of Homann in the New South Wales Supreme Court said on Friday to a maximum of 30 years in prison, justice Lucy McCallum, his case had a “extreme noise of violence”.
They confirmed that Homann experienced since some psychosis at the time, contributed to by his use of the drug ice, but that it is not the his guilt for the crime.
Homann had taken over responsibility for Ms Paepaerei death, but he denied murdering her.
His lawyer had told jurors during his trial that the case was about mental illness, but as domestic violence or drug use.
