Classic cars can be a solid investment, with a rare and beloved classics of the recovery of million in an auction.
But you don’t have to sell to the large sums of money to buy a used car that may appreciate in value. We have asked the analysts in the Lid of the HPI to pick up some affordable cars that could become future classics.
The most affordable of the classics of the future
One of the first electric vehicles, the oddball Twizy has been in production since the year 2012 and still does today.
You might think that would lessen their classic potential, but its low volume of production, mode of output-is not seen, 50 mph top speed and relatively meek of 62 miles of range helped to make the Twizy something of an acquired taste.
They are very hard to find — there is only one on PistonHeads — but prices start from £3500 upwards.

Another French luxury, the Model is the only three-door MPV produced to date.
In his time, that fact and a couple of packaging issues to put buyers off, although the arthouse style caught my attention. Seventeen years later, the car of the scarcity adds to their appeal, and the Avantime is still a bold and dynamic in appearance.
Do you want one? Well, they are scarce and none are available on PistonHeads (as kooky Vel Satis is available, mind you). But when they come, expect to pay between $ 4000 and 10,000 euros, depending on the condition.

Alfa Romeo Brera
Some will not agree that the Brera is one of the most beautiful cars to come out of Turin.
Relative rarity caused by the car a bit lukewarm performance at the launch to compensate for the eye catching appearance, so it’s the punchier 3.2-liter V6 attracts the biggest premium. The diesel was the option less desirable, so well-cared-for, and examples can represent a bargain.
Prices vary, with long legs examples of less than £5000 but clean sub-75,000 miles cars approaching £10,000. Take a look at the Breras currently for sale on PistonHeads here.

Peugeot’s answer to the Audi TT already is not and, with no replacement planned, the demand is on the rise.
Poor promotion led to its decline after only five years on sale, but not after that earned praise to confirm that the French brand renaissance. The handling, style, and price all were promising, but could not be saved.
That’s a win for buyers — £6000 will buy you an early model with less than 90,000 miles on the clock, while the maximum prices of £15,000 for low mileage late models in the PistonHeads classifieds.

Volkswagen Golf Mk5 GTI, R32
The prices for the first and the second generation of the Golf GTI have been on the rise for a number of years, but the beloved, the tibia, the third and fourth generation of Golf Itps that have been omitted.
The values of the R32 version of the fourth-generation Golf have already begun to take off, so all eyes turn to the waters Mk5 variants. The GTI was something of a revival of the hot hatch icon, while the VR6 engine R32 is very rare perspective.
The £4000 you get a high mileage Mk5 GTI, while R32s start at around £2000 on top of this. The best buys are not modified, although, so finding a less used example for the best gains.

Porsche Boxster 986
A few cars pick up in value like a classic Porsche, but the big revenue tend to be expensive in the first place.
The Boxster, however, is Porsche’s most affordable model, modern and the Cap of the HPI, it is predicted that the first generation of the Boxster, the 986, you will have your time soon. Look for a clean, low mileage model and the sub-£10,000 to spend could grow.
Rock bottom start examples of less than £4000, but it is not up to the £5000 that the miles creep by under 100k and it is not until around the £7000 that you can get the more desirable 3.2-litre cars. Take a look at the selection available on PistonHeads.

A new Jimny will be launched at the end of this year, so that the current generation of Jimny, such as difficult off road, as is the diminutive of stature, is experiencing a resurgence in popularity.
Sure, its road manners leave a fair amount to be desired, but with the cult of the appeal is definitely one to see. It has been in production since 1998, so that there is a Jimny for most budgets.
£2000, purchase enough clean example with less than 80,000 miles. Take a look through the Jimnys available on PistonHeads classified here.

Reliable? Check. Fun to drive? Check. Scarce? Increasingly, yes. That is a holy trinity when it comes to appreciating the modern classics and the Toyota MR2 is no different.
Naturally, the first generation is more scarce, but will bring the greatest of rewards: the prices are already on the rise. Those on a budget should look for a third-generation car, despite the fact that you will have a longer wait time before the substantial appreciation.
Although tempting, £2000 examples do not have the same investment potential as the most careful of £4000 cars. Examining the three generations here.
