Ed Sheeran, Rita Ora and Calvin Harris, who have passed to the Sunday Times Rich List after enjoying great success in the lists.
Sheeran made £ 28m last year – taking their total estimated wealth of € 80m.
But that only puts him at 35 on the list of the richest uk musicians, which is dominated by the golden oldies. Sir Paul McCartney is higher than £820m.
Calvin Harris is the only new entry in the top 20 in £140m, up to £20m. And Rita Ora has joined the list of the richest young musicians, with £16m.

Robert Watts, who compiles the Sunday Times Rich List, said: “Over the years our list of music millionaires has been dominated by older acts, such as the Rolling Stones and Sir Elton John, who have an older crowd able to pay a premium to see their favorite acts.
“But some of the biggest bands of the last few years have been among the younger acts such as Ed Sheeran, Adele and Calvin Harris.
“The Streaming services, the internet and the income of the endorsements are helping young musicians to build an international – and with it their fortunes – much faster than the old rockers.”
