The US President promised to protect the interests of gun owners

The US President Donald trump and Vice-President Mike Pence spoke Friday to participants of the annual forum of the National rifle Association (NSA) in Dallas, Texas.

In recent decades, US presidents have tried to avoid public speaking in front of supporters of the NSA. The only exception for the last 35 years was Ronald Reagan addressed the participants of the forum in 1983.

After another shooting incident in the school city of Parkland, Florida, which killed 17 teenagers in the United States intensified the campaign for tougher laws on gun ownership.
