The US President promised to protect the interests of gun owners
The US President Donald trump and Vice-President Mike Pence spoke Friday to participants of the annual forum of the National rifle Association (NSA) in Dallas, Texas.
In recent decades, US presidents have tried to avoid public speaking in front of supporters of the NSA. The only exception for the last 35 years was Ronald Reagan addressed the participants of the forum in 1983.
After another shooting incident in the school city of Parkland, Florida, which killed 17 teenagers in the United States intensified the campaign for tougher laws on gun ownership.
The answer of supporters of the NSA have become rallies and speeches in support of the Second amendment to the U.S. Constitution guaranteeing the right to bear arms.

Answering the journalists ‘ questions aboard Air Force One on the way to Dallas, Donald trump called the NSA “a truly great organization.”
“They love this country, – he stressed. And there are a record number of people. You have probably already heard, there are already long queues”.
At the beginning of his speech, Vice-President Mike Pence announced that he not only subscribes to the principles of the founders of the Association, but is “an official member of the NSA”.
He said that the main priorities considers the security of U.S. borders, including the construction of a wall on the border with Mexico, as well as “return to moral principles”, including a ban on abortion.
“I am incredibly proud to serve (the country) together with the President, who implicitly supports the idea that the human race life is sacred,” said Pence.
In turn, Donald trump, Recalling that the residents of the state of Texas, where he opened a forum of NSA “courageously and samootverzhenno struggled with the aftermath of hurricane Harvey,” said that in America today “the rights guaranteed by the Second amendment, are under threat.”
“Your rights are now being attacked, he said. But they will never, ever be in danger, as long as I am President.”
He urged his supporters not to be “complacency and indifference” in the upcoming November mid-term elections to the US Congress, stressing that “we must win this election.”
Donald trump thanked rapper Kanye West, who in recent weeks has repeatedly and publicly announced his support of the President, for the fact that thanks to it the rating of trust in African Americans “doubled”.
“Thank you, Kanye,” said trump.
The US President also quoted the statements of a Federal judge Ellis in Virginia, suggested that spectracolor Mueller exceeded its powers, presenting the former head of the election headquarters of the President of the Semi Manufactu allegations of financial fraud.
According to Donald trump, the statements of judges is further proof of the “unfounded” accusations of collusion between members of his staff and the Kremlin.
