The U.S. congratulated Israel on the 70th anniversary of independence

Acting Secretary John Sullivan stressed the strong relationship between the two countries

Acting U.S. Secretary of state John Sullivan on behalf of the President of the trump and the American people congratulated Israel on the 70th anniversary of independence, which is celebrated on April 19.

“The state of Israel coped with all the challenges faced over the past 70 years. In this short time the people of Israel have created a successful state, which is thriving and continues to evolve. The United States launched a diplomatic presence in Jerusalem long before the birth of the state of Israel, more than 170 years ago. This year we look forward to the opening of the new U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem, which is scheduled for may 14 and coincides with the 70th anniversary of the recognition of Israel by President Truman,” said Sullivan.

“Israel and the United States brings together an unbreakable bond, which remained and became stronger over the past seven decades. As the President said trump in Jerusalem in may of last year, “let’s not forget that the relationship between our two countries is rooted in the hearts of our people, their love of freedom, hope and dignity for all.” The United States will continue to be a reliable ally of Israel and will be with you today and forever,” – said the acting head of the U.S. Department of state.
