In Kazakhstan, a former senior official of the Ministry of religious Affairs sentenced to seven years in prison

Astana. April 17. INTERFAX – a Court in Astana convicted of bribery former Deputy Chairman of the Committee on civil society of the Ministry of religious Affairs and civil society of Kazakhstan Baurzhan Mussin and sentenced him to seven years in prison, said Tuesday the press service of the court.

B. Musin was appointed seven years of imprisonment with serving of punishment in the institution of criminal Executive system of average safety, with lifetime deprivation of the right to engage in activities and hold office in the public service, government and commercial organizations, whose authorized capital the state share is more than 50%.

According to the materials of the case, December 15, 2016 between B. and Musin, Director of LLP “Assar KZ” was signed the contract on public procurement of goods totaling 4.9 million tenge (330,02/$1). B. Musin received a bribe in the amount of 1 million tenge for the signing of the acceptance certificate for the actually delivered goods.

In addition, according to the investigators, B. Musin received from another entrepreneur bribe in the amount of 400 thousand tenge for lobbying his interests and recognition of the winner in the planned procurement.
