Radicals in Kiev staged a fight near the monument to Vatutin

KIEV, 13 APR — RIA Novosti. Representatives of the nationalist organization “C14” on Friday, sprayed gas and staged a brawl with the guards of the Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, leader of the faction “the Opposition bloc” Yuriy Boyko, who came to lay flowers at the monument to General Vatutin in Kiev, to be broadcast on the organization’s page on Facebook.

The fifteenth of April 2018 will mark the 74th anniversary of the death of General Vatutin. During the great Patriotic war, he headed the First Ukrainian front in the battle for the Dnieper and liberation of Kyiv. Vatutin monument is located in a Park near the Verkhovna Rada building in Kiev center. Radicals are not allowed at the monument to the people who came to lay flowers.

Soviet military commander, army General Vatutin died 15 APR 1944 in Kiev after being wounded. The seventeenth of April he was buried in Mariinsky Park.
