The Ministry of regional policy, construction and housing and communal services of Ukraine will introduce the concept of “blue line” to height restrictions when building areas. This was announced by Deputy Minister of regional development Lev Partskhaladze on his page on the social network Facebook.
“In Ukraine there is still no provisions on limitation of tall building development. Now we change it by updating important urban GOS (government building Norma – ed.) in the planning and development of territories. In particular introducing the concept of the blue line, which will regulate the limitation of building height in the settlements,” – said Partskhaladze.
He noted that the new GOS will help to resolve the issue of high-rise buildings and to harmonize the urban space.
According to Partskhaladze, in the existing standard requires only “red lines” denoting public land intended for the construction of communications and streamlining of the streets.
According to the Deputy Minister, Ministry of regional development will introduce a new concept in the GOS “the Planning and building of territories”, designed to replace DBN 360-92 “urban development. Planning and development of urban and rural settlements”.
“She (GOS – ed) have been agreed and got all the approval,” – said Partskhaladze.
We will remind, in July 2015 session of UNESCO adopted a resolution on Ukraine with the requirement to reduce the number of floors of high-rise buildings in the buffer zone of Sophia of Kyiv. First and foremost, it was about high-rise buildings at the tithes lane, 3/5 and Olesya Gonchara St., 17/23. In January, the mayor Vitaly Klitschko said that with the developer negotiations and in the near future, the extra floors will start to disassemble.
