The Russian Orthodox Church handed over the land for the construction of the temple in Portugal

Moscow. 14 Feb. INTERFAX – a Large land plot in the resort area of the Portuguese city of Cascais under the Lisbon leased to the Moscow Patriarchate, which plans to build here a Church and parish facilities.

As reported on Wednesday the official site of the Russian Orthodox Church, this is the result of the meeting Bishop Nestor of Korsun, in charge of the Russian parishes in several Western European countries, with the mayor of Cascais, Carlos Careerism.

According to the signed agreement, the area of the transferred plot – more than 16 acres, term of lease and 50 years.

The Bishop also met with the life of parishes of Portugal. He visited the school in Faro, for which the city government provided free room. Rapidly developing parish in Albufeira: here purchased the property and settling the temple, where now there are regular weekly worship services.
