Moscow. 13 Feb. INTERFAX – the cooperation Agreement between the Federal tourism Agency and the largest Italian cruise operator “Costa Crociere S. p.A” signed in Moscow, the correspondent of “Interfax”.

“Italy is an important tourism partner of Russia. For the first nine months of last year to Russia from Italy of 315 thousand trips, it’s more than in 2016, 32%. We will focus on cruise itineraries, but can develop pilgrimage tourism, because 85% of Orthodox shrines of interest to Catholics,” said the head of the Federal tourism Agency Oleg Safonov at the round table devoted to the signing of the Memorandum.

According to him, the cruise tourism is very popular in the world: in 2017, there were 26 million cruise tourists. “Russia now is a small portion of the total flow, often wealthy tourists”, – said Oleg Safonov.
