Ukraine will soon introduce electronic visas for all countries that are not included in the list of countries of migration risk. This was stated by the Director of the Department of consular service of the MFA of Ukraine Serhiy Pogoreltsev, reports EP.
“Electronic visa is only a one-time, it will issued for up to 30 days, the cost of $ 65. In parallel, reduced the number of visas issued at the airports, that is Visa on arrival. And for the countries of migration risk remains the issue of visas at the embassies. Now these 70 countries,” said fire Victims.
He explained that e-visa will be sent by e-mail, it will have to print out and bring to passport control.
“Just downloaded to your phone will not work – the guards need printing. In particular, we therefore at the first stage we will not even reduce the number of our employees at airports to, for example, helped to print this visa,” said fire Victims.
He added that after the introduction of electronic visas Ukraine has no plans to completely eliminate consular posts at the airports.
“Now we have significantly improved the work of consuls in airports. I must admit that when we first instituted a visa at the airports, all was not well,” he said.
As reported, the foreign Ministry is working on introduction of visa-free regime with the countries of the so-called Schengen “white list”. Among them the Bahamas, Vanuatu, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Palau, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Trinidad and Tobago.
