Tillerson goes to the middle East

The Secretary of state will visit five States in the region

U.S. Secretary of state Rex Tillerson, on a tour to the Middle East.

In the capital of Jordan – Amman – Tillerson will discuss the conclusion of a new Memorandum of understanding on bilateral assistance, as well as the problems of the region, such as the ongoing crisis in Syria and the Israeli-Palestinian settlement.

The visit of foreign Minister of the USA in Turkey will take place amid heightened tensions between the two countries-members of NATO, which caused a number of disagreements, including issues related to human rights and the crisis in Syria.

In Beirut Tillerson will meet with President of Lebanon Michel Aoun, Prime Minister Saad Hariri and Parliament speaker Nabih Berri. The purpose of the visit was to Express U.S. support for the Lebanese people and the Lebanese armed forces.

After that Tillerson will go to Cairo to meet with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and foreign Minister Sameh shoukry to discuss regional security issues and Israeli-Palestinian relations.

Tillerson also will lead the U.S. delegation at the meeting of Ministers of foreign Affairs of the 74 members of the Global coalition against ISIS in Kuwait. In addition, he will participate in the international conference on reconstruction of Iraq.
