200-year-old Cathedral will be restored in Kursk

Kursk. 8 Feb. INTERFAX – the cultural heritage site “Cathedral, 1816-1826,” part of the ensemble of the monastery of the sign in Kursk included in the Federal target program “Culture of Russia (2012-2018 years)” in 2018 on behalf of the Minister of culture of Russia Vladimir Medina, reports the press service of the regional administration.

For the development of scientific-project documentation on restoration of the Cathedral of culture of the Russian Federation allocated 5 million rubles.

The project involves the restoration of the Cathedral in its historical form, will be to restore the facade of the unique dvuhmestnoe bell tower and astronomical clock, the refectory part of the Cathedral, which is covered with a vault of what was once located in the building of the cinema.
