In Kiev will further establish 700 surveillance cameras – KSCA

In Kiev it is planned to install about 700 surveillance cameras. This was announced by Deputy head of Kyiv city state administration (KCSA) Dmitry Davtyan, the press service of the KSCA.

“In December last year purchased 674 CCTV camera. They plan to install at all exits-entrances to metro stations – 195 cameras, for departures-arrivals to the capital – 139 and traffic light intersections – 340 cameras”, – stated in the message.

It is noted that in 2017, in Kiev, established 1378 cameras. In particular, the 206 cameras installed to “Eurovision” (in the Central squares and streets of the city in the Park “Natalka”, on Park road, Brovarsky Avenue). In addition, 1172 camera cover 10 districts of Kiev, Truhanov island and Taras Shevchenko Boulevard.

Earlier, the mayor of Kiev Vitali Klitschko said that 2018, the number of installed in the capital of video surveillance cameras should grow to 10 thousand. According to Klitschko, the capital install smart cameras that can recognize people’s faces and car license plates. Such cameras are installed in crowded places, in schools, kindergartens, health care institutions, some of the metro stations.
