Moscow. 5 Feb. INTERFAX – IN the Synodal Department for religious education and catechesis in the development of programs on the basics of moral values for preschoolers, which will be tested in the Orthodox kindergartens.
“It will be developed the program of preschool education on the basis of traditional moral values, which will be tested in an experiment on the basis of Orthodox kindergartens in Smolensk, Kemerovo, Nizhny Novgorod”, – told the correspondent of “Interfax-Religion” on Monday, the head of the sector of Orthodox education of the Synodal Department deacon Herman Demidov.
According to him, one of the tasks is to see to what extent this program can be used in preschool institutions of different religious organizations.
“We will try to have the most versatile character to the efforts of the Synodal Department, was not a religious isolation, but would appeal to traditional moral values which underlie our culture,” – said the Agency interlocutor.
He reminded that the Russian Church has about a dozen Orthodox kindergartens, which are the same as Orthodox schools, Orthodox implement a component of educational and training, but this component was in need of standardization.
