The Trainwreck star says she sympathises with the anonymous 22-year-old has told of the allegations of a date gone wrong with Aziz.

Amy, speaking on a podcast, said many young women have the experience of pressure in the sex.

“In college, I have the feeling that it was a quarter of my hook-ups – they see what they can get from you.”

“This is not a crime, but it is not cool,” the comedian, who was responding to allegations made in a babe.net interview, told the Katie Couric podcast.

The photographer alleges that Master of none-star Aziz, 34 years old, had harassed her for sex when the couple returned to his apartment after a date, saying that it failed to take account of its verbal and non-verbal.

Aziz later issued a statement saying that he had taken his claims to heart, but the thought of the encounter was consensual.

The report polarize observers of the #metoo movement, provoking discussion about the label and consent.

Schumer, whose comedy riffs on the dating of the culture, said Couric: “not Everything needs to be a rape. This is not like ” this is a rape, or this is good.”

“I think some of us have gotten so used to the behavior of a guy like “come on” – at a younger age, in particular.

Amy said many do not want to see Aziz lose his career, “but it is the spirit of the people”.

“They’re going to ‘t-he deserve this’? And this is really not about that. I think it is about expressing and showing women that this behavior is not acceptable and that not only can you leave, you should leave.”

Schumer said Aziz alleged conduct was “not a crime, but this is not cool and it can still really mess with a woman”.

“I identify with all the women in these situations,” she said.

“Even if it is my friend, I’m not going “oh but he is a good guy’. I think what would it feel like to have been?””
