Canada’s Parliament has made the text of the national anthem “gender neutral”

MOSCOW, 1 Feb — RIA Novosti. The Senate of Canada in the third reading has approved the bill according to which the text of the national anthem will be made “gender neutral” changes, according to Twitter’s upper chamber.

The draft law on amendments to the text of the anthem was presented by the MP from the Liberal party Moral the Bellange. In 2016, it was approved by the house of Commons.

“Bill C-210 will make an English version of the national anthem gender neutral due to the fact that the law on the national anthem will be amended and the words “sons” (thy sons) will be changed to “us” (of us)”, — stated in the message.
