The representative of the developer promised to stop the construction of high-rise building near Botanical garden in Kiev

The representative of the developer in the presence of the Prosecutor of Kiev and head of the Metropolitan police has promised to stop the controversial construction on the street Michurina, 44 in the Pechersk district. About it reports a press-service of the Moscow mayor.

“The fence will be dismantled, the construction stopped. And we expect from law enforcement findings about the construction”, – said Klitschko.

He also informed that a test was conducted, which confirmed the lack of necessary permits, construction conditions of the project land documents and approvals from the city authorities.

The Prosecutor of the city of Kiev Roman Govda, in turn, noted that from June 2017 pending before the court is the claim of the Prosecutor about the return of this area to the city with bringing it to its original state.

It is reported that employees of KP “Kievblagoustroystvo” have dismantled the construction fence.

The conflict over the controversial construction in Pechersk district on the street Michurina, 44 near Botanical garden began a few years ago. The activists claimed that the construction was done without any permits. Also unhappy with the construction have repeatedly stated the conflict with the builders.

29 December 2017, on the street Michurina, 44 once again, clashes broke out between protesters and developers. The activists burned tires and threw stones at developers. Those, in turn, poured water on them and used the gas canisters.

It should be noted that the construction of high-rise buildings is a violation of the decision dated 13.01.2009, №850-VI “On urgent measures for the preservation of the territorial integrity of the National Botanic gardens. N. N. Grishko of NAS of Ukraine”, according to which a moratorium on the allocation of land at a minimum distance of 200 m from the boundaries of the Botanical garden. The construction of high-rise building is 150 metres from the rosary.

The decision of Pechersk district court of 22 December 2016 was seized of the land, and a ban on its use.

February 28, 2017 Pechersk district court of Kyiv imposed a second arrest, as despite a previous arrest, again resumed the construction.
