Islamic countries must stop conflict and to reduce foreign dependence – Rouhani

Tehran. 16 Jan. INTERFAX – Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani has urged Islamic state to solve their problems by peaceful means, relying on internal resources, reported on Tuesday the local media.

Rouhani, speaking on Tuesday in Tehran at the opening of the 13th conference of the parliamentary Union of the member countries of the organization of Islamic cooperation (OIC), said that Iran “supports constructive engagement in the Islamic world, on the basis of equal conditions, which do not have space exploitation and interference in the internal Affairs of Islamic countries.”

He stressed that “no country can solve its internal problems through military intervention in other countries”.

“We have to solve their problems peacefully, have to put our conflicts aside and reduce our foreign dependence, relying on internal capabilities, social capital and rich resources for the development and promotion of the Islamic world”, – quotes the President of Iran news Agency IRNA.

Rouhani stressed that to solve the problems of the Islamic countries need to have the “inner eyes, not outer”.

“We must solve the problems of our societies through internal resources and not expect others to solve our problems. This does not mean isolationism” – he added.

In the work of the 13th conference of the parliamentary Union of the member countries of the OIC in Tehran attended by parliamentary delegations from 44 countries.
