In Saudi Arabia on Friday, 12 January, for the first time women were able to attend a football match, reports Goal.com.
The match between the local teams al-Ahly and al-Batna under national championship was held in Jeddah.
Women were able to attend the match due to the edict issued by Saudi authorities in late October of 2017. This document allowed women to attend sporting events at stadiums of the country.
