Moscow. January 12. INTERFAX – IN the Zaporozhye soldiers of the military unit 3029 of the National guard of Ukraine took under protection on Khortitsa historical and cultural complex “Zaporozhye” with the Church relating to the self-proclaimed “Kiev Patriarchate”, as police and national guardsmen are increased duty of the local Orthodox churches.
“The purpose of service of the guards is to prevent acts of vandalism, arson and other illegal actions”, – stated in the message on the page in/HR 3029 of the national guard on Facebook.
In addition, in connection with a conflict situation among religious faiths, the national police, together with the guards passed to the strengthened mode of protection of religious sites.
“Our task today – to prevent an attack or arson important for Ukraine, the cradle of Ukrainian statehood – the Zaporizhzhya Sich. And I can confidently say that our soldiers will do everything possible for this”, – said the head of the service for the protection of public order Maxim scheck.
Under heavy guard the national guard has also taken acting wooden Cossack Church of the Holy Bragadini belonging to the Kiev Patriarchate and located on the territory of complex “Zaporizhzhya Sich”.
