Subaru to show that the STI version of the Viziv-Performance concept at the Tokyo Auto Salon

Subaru is a new concept car Viziv-Performance STI reveal at the Tokyo Auto Salon this Friday.

The new design is a more concentrated version of the Viziv Performance sedan concept unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show in October of last year, with revised bumpers and sills, a few other minor styling tweaks and the addition of a huge spoiler.

The original Viziv performance was described by Subaru as a sports-sedan drawing on racing and rally heritage, Legacy, Impreza and WRX Some of the technical details traditional set-up of a boxer engine and symmetrical all-wheel drive have been released, save that it kept the Subaru.

This Viziv performance STI, then a preview of the next WRX STI hot hatch, the Subaru is the new global platform and is due on sale in the year 2020. Subaru describes the concept as “the embodiment of the brand, the vision for the future of cars, bringing joy and peace of mind to its customers”.

No technical details about the concept have been revealed, but the next WRX STI is expected that a plug-in hybrid.

The latest WRX STI, powered by a 305bhp 2.5-litre-Turbo-boxer-engine, went on sale in the UK at the end of last year.

Subaru will also display the STI-Performance versions for the Japanese market BRZ STI Sport and Levorg STI sports models on its stand at the Tokyo Auto Salon.
