Moscow. January 10. INTERFAX – during the charity concert organized by the Spiritual gathering of Muslims of Russia (DSMR), managed to collect 500 thousand rubles for rendering humanitarian assistance to Syria.
“For the first time after the beginning of hostilities from the Syrian Arab Republic arrived in Moscow well-known creative group of artists performing spiritual music and chants. Collected funds in the amount of 500 thousand rubles were directed to the special account for the organization and the transfer of humanitarian aid”, – told the correspondent of “Interfax-Religion” head DSMR mufti Albir Krganov.
According to him, the Spiritual gathering of Muslims of Russia puts before itself the purpose to assist in the settling and normalization of life of the citizens of Syria, organized to raise additional funds in the regional muftiates and parishes.
“The Muslims of Russia actively respond to the call to provide assistance and support to the brotherly people of Syria, bring their donations,” – said the mufti.
For the distribution and delivery of humanitarian assistance DSMR interacts with state authorities and public organizations. To coordinate the dispatch of humanitarian aid has created a special inter-religious working group on humanitarian assistance to the population of Syria of the Council for cooperation with religious associations under the Russian President.
For the further development of humanitarian activities DSMR signed an agreement with the Ministry of Awqaf Syria on cooperation and mutual assistance.
Informed Spiritual Assembly has already sent to help the Syrian people 60 tons of flour and food supplies to part of interfaith groups.
