An attempted attack on Russian military base “Hamim” and “Tartus” has taken three dozen drones, said the coordinator of the parliamentary group for relations with the Syrian Parliament Dmitry Sablin. His words leads to “Interfax”.
“The attack was three-dimensional, according to my information have been 31 drone, not 13, and all is planned in time and place and carrying a fairly serious threat to our base,” — said the MP.
Sablin said that we are talking about unmanned combat aerial vehicles, not “artisanal drones”. “First question, where they were militants because they could be delivered only in some state,” he said, adding that such technology has “a very limited number of States, primarily the United States.”
The Ministry of defence on 8 January reported on the prevention of attack 13 attack drones bases Hamim and Tartus in Syria. The incident occurred in the night of 6 January. According to the newspaper “Izvestia”, the responsibility for the attack lies on the terrorist organization “Dzhabhat EN-Nusra” (banned in Russia).
