Patriarch Kirill is concerned about the social stratification in society

Moscow. January 7. INTERFAX – Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill expressed concern about the social stratification in Russia.

“The stratification of society is a huge problem. All this is now present in our life,” he said Sunday in a Christmas interview to TV channel “Russia-1”.

The Patriarch believes that the stratification of society is a huge problem and that the stability of society and justice in it depend first and foremost on overcoming this gap.

“But it’s certainly a challenge for the authorities. For the legislature, for the Executive branch. (…) This is unacceptable. We should aim to overcome these contradictions”, – said the head of the Church.

He expressed the wish that domestic policy contributed to overcoming the huge divisions between the wealthy and the poor and “to see that justice is more and more penetrated into the subsoil of our national life.”

The alarm calls of Patriarch and status of many seniors who are “at the end of life losing their homes, being thrown out of the apartment, “black businessmen”. The Primate believes that the state should be “the system is very clear, which would insure against this kind of situations”.
