National anti-corruption Bureau said that for two years the courts passed sentences only against 18 people. This was reported on the page of NABOO in Facebook.
“For two years in the Bureau about 500 cases nearly three hundred suspects and hundreds of indictments submitted to the court. However, the courts are reluctant to review cases yet sentenced to only 18 people,” – said the Bureau.
NABU criticized the small number of sentences and added that their absence does not allow you to recover for the benefit of state funds, were arrested in the framework of investigations, and to compensate for the damage.
“The problem with prolonged judicial proceedings can be solved by creating the Highest anti-corruption court”, – explained in NABOO.
The Bureau added that the first information on criminal offences of top officials was made by the investigators in the registry of NABOO 4 December 2015.
As reported, the NAB returned in “OKHMATDYT” of radiological equipment purchased for public funds 5 years ago.
