Ex-Minister of economy of the Russian Federation Ulyukayev was found guilty of receiving $ 2 million bribe

The Zamoskvoretsky court of Moscow recognized the former Minister of economy of the Russian Federation Alexei Ulyukayev guilty of receiving a bribe of $ 2 million. The hearing took place on Friday, December 15, reports “RIA Novosti”.

“The speaker is guilty of that, being an official received a bribe”, – decided the judge Larisa Semenova.

As noted, the sentence the former official to be appointed later. The prosecution insisted on 10 years in prison and a fine of 500 million rubles. The defense requests to acquit the defendant.

We will remind, Alexey Ulyukayev accused that he being an officer received a bribe of $ 2 million in cash from the leadership of “Rosneft” for approval of the sale of the controlling stake of the company “Bashneft”. The accused denies his guilt.

Ulyukayev was detained November 14, 2016 in the office of “Rosneft”. During the investigation, Igor Sechin, head of Rosneft, was called for questioning 4 times. However, he ignored the invitation, citing a tight schedule. The main witness in the case was the FSB General Oleg Feoktistov, who during the arrest of the speaker was the head of the security service of Rosneft.
