Moscow. 1 Dec. INTERFAX – Metropolitan Hilarion spoke about the details of how the letter of Metropolitan Philaret came to the Council of bishops.

“This letter was brought to Moscow envoys. I met with them, and since it is addressed not only to his Holiness, but to the whole episcopate of the Russian Orthodox Church, naturally, it was read at the Council of bishops”, he said on Friday at a press conference in Moscow.

The Metropolitan noted that “it was not our initiative, contrary to the allegations that are being made, it was the initiative of representatives of the author of the letter.”
