Twitter-chase after the train “love rat Ben’

A student is a nationwide hunt for a “love Council has caused,” after overhearing a conversation in the train.

Bournemouth University student Emily Schaefer tweeted: “If someone has a friend named Ben …. he told his friends that he is cheating on you.”

The post was retweeted more than 26,000 times, she sent it from Bournemouth to Manchester train on Friday.

Ms Shepherd said the response was “crazy”.

The 23-year-old, who was on Board the train that left Bournemouth at about 17:00 GMT on Friday, said: “It was a fairly empty carriage and it was talking a group of guys and drink and curse like guys do it, and they went through the girls’ Facebook profiles.”

She said she had publicly outed the individual, after he was admitted, apparently is cheating on his girlfriend.

“It’s been crazy – I have so many comments from people who support me and you will get the usual trolls that try to bring you down,” she added.

“I have a couple of people send me pictures that say ‘he sees this?’, ‘what does he look like?”, but there are no signs yet.”
