There is usually a dominant theme in a room of the automobile. For example, Frankfurt this year was dominated by automakers detailing their long-term electric plans, while January’s Detroit show had an air of the unknown as the world expected the Triumph to the opening of a couple of days later, wondering what impact it would have on the automotive industry.

But this week in Los Angeles show was a very different matter: there were plenty of large, bright, with stands of manufacturers of cars – as you would expect in a lounge car, in– fact, but very little of all-new metal.

For example, the booth of Honda, although decent in size, had nothing new, with the main attraction of the already revealed the new CR-V. Genesis style is headed up by ex-Lambo and Bentley design boss Luc Donckerwolke, who has created a look at the shame of creativity in the Audi. The cars are good to drive too.”
