Rihanna has never been shy to speak his mind, and his latest views on the situation of transgender people models, have been widely praised on social networks.
The singer was asked by a fan to envisage the use of a trans woman to promote her Fenty Beauty make-up.
“I have had the pleasure of working with many gifted and trans women over the years,” she replied, “but I’m not doing the trans castings!”
“I respect all women. If they are trans or not is not my business.”
The star went on to criticize the businesses that hire models from minority groups as a “token” gesture.

“I don’t think it is fair that a trans woman, or man, to be used as a practice marketing tool,” she said.
“Too often, I see companies that make this trans and black for women.
“There’s always that one spot in the campaign for the token” we look mad different girl/boy! This is sad!”

The conversation took place between Rihanna and a fan called @lbertootero via private messages on Twitter. He then took a screen capture of the star, the comments and made them public.
Many fans praise the pop star’s position.
“As a trans woman I have a lot of admiration and respect for Rihanna,” wrote a user. “She wrote all of this to perfection and respectful and kind. She is a true angel.”
“Good on Rihanna does not want to exploit trans women just for the sake of marketing,” added @silbiee, who posts under the name of Heart Shaker.
“I’m proud of my idol,” said a Chilean user called Francisca , so that WE fan of Jason just called Rihanna the “queen of the lgbt”.
Rihanna has already received praise for Fenty the Beauty of the line, which caters to a wide range of skin tones and types from the most mainstream brands.
She also refuses to test its products on animals, the meaning of the range will not be available in China, where animal testing is required by law.
