Jay Z and Kendrick Lamar are the main contenders for the 60. annual Grammy Awards, leading a crop of nominations, which is heavy on hip-hop and R&B but to the left of the mainstream pop stars like Ed Sheeran and Lady Gaga from the race for the big prizes.

The awards will be Madison Square Garden in New York on 28. January 2018, and will be screened on 4 music-morning of the following day.

Jay Z and Kendrick Lamar’s multiple nominations were expected; but the recognition of Bruno Mars 24K magic and childish Gambino awesome to Wake psychedelic P-Funk album, My love, were both surprised.
