CCTV footage has been released showing, to steal from thieves with a “relay” device that receives a signal from the victim the key in your home, a car.

West Midlands Police believe it is the most high-tech is the first time the crime was captured on camera.

Relay boxes and signals through walls, doors and Windows, but not made of metal can receive.

The theft took only a minute and the Mercedes car, stolen from the Elmdon area of Solihull on the 24th of September, has not been restored.

In the footage, the men can be seen waving a box in front of the house of the victim.

The device receives a signal from the key and transmits it to the second box next to the car.

The car systems will then be tempted to think that the key is present and it is unlocked, before the ignition can be started.
