The Pechersky district court of Kiev 14 November 2017 refused Oleksandr Yanukovych the claim to the National Bank of Ukraine for damages in the amount of UAH 1.6 billion. About it reports a press-service of the national Bank.
In August 2017, Yanukovych appealed to court, demanding to pay damages in connection with the removal from the market of the all-Ukrainian development Bank, shareholder of which was the son of the former President.
“By results of consideration of the case, the court came to the conclusion that the grounds for the claim do not exist,” reads the message.
The NBU also noted that in January 2016, the Supreme administrative court of Ukraine confirmed legitimacy of the decision of the regulator to classify all-Ukrainian development Bank insolvent.
We will remind, the Deposit guarantee Fund introduced a temporary administration in national development Bank in November 2014. The financial institution was deemed insolvent due to the sanctions of the European Union to Alexander Yanukovych.
