Moped raiders threaten the Apple store guard

A security guard at a central London Apple store has been threatened with a hammer while trying to stop a gang of raiders on motorcycles.

Ten suspects on five mopeds smashed their way into the Regent Street shop at 00:45 GMT and fled with iphone, ipad, and Apple Watches.

Two iPhone Xs were later recovered near Kings Cross.

The flagship store has been fully operational with no visible damage after Monday morning.

Apple has declined to comment.

The attack comes as crimes of scooters and mopeds at the rocket in London.

Last month, a moped gang that had more than 100 people, including the former Chancellor, George Osborne, was jailed.

Anyone with information about the latest raid is asked to contact the Metropolitan Police.
