Earlier it was reported that the state Duma of Russia develops the law on mass media – foreign agents in response to the situation with RT. Under the so-called “responses” can get in several foreign publications, including Radio Liberty, German broadcaster Deutsche Welle, CNN and the “Voice of America”. In Washington have repeatedly emphasized that the law on foreign agents in the United States differs considerably from Russian and does not limit freedom of information. As stated by the President of Corporation “Radio Free Europe/Radio Freedom” Thomas Kent, “the RT distributes its programs to the United States via cable television, while Radio Liberty such opportunities in Russia.” He noted that “Freedom of journalists” chased and beat up in Russia, and their accreditation was canceled – while nothing of the kind in respect of representing in USA, Russian TV channel journalists occurred.
