Germany will provide 200 million euros for demining unexploded ordnance from areas of Balakleya (Kharkiv region). This was reported in the press service of the Embassy of Germany in Ukraine.
“The Federal government helps to cleanse the scene of the accident to Balakliya from unexploded ordnance. It supports the world’s largest organization for mine action HALO in the form of the acquisition of an armored vehicle that can effectively neutralize and eliminate the explosive ordnance that was scattered over a large area in the explosion on March 23 of this year. Germany provides 200 million Euro,” the statement reads.
The Embassy noted that Germany is helping with the demining of Eastern Ukraine in 2016 and it has already spent 1.5 million euros.

Was organized the evacuation of residents of the 7-kilometer zone (later expanded to 10 km). Over the danger zone flights were banned, restricted movement on the roads.
