The Theodore Cathedral, Petersburg, will feature Rachmaninoff’s all-night vigil in memory of those killed in the plane crash in Sinai

Saint-Petersburg. 1 Nov. INTERFAX – the Theodore Cathedral, Petersburg on Wednesday will take place the concert devoted to memory of victims of the crash of the airliner A321 in Egypt.

As reports a press-service of city Committee on culture, performed by the Concert choir of St. Petersburg will sound the all-night vigil by Sergei Rachmaninoff. Artistic Director and conductor of the choir – honored artist of Russia Vladimir Begletsov.

The plane crash, “Kogalymavia”, EN route from Sharm El Sheikh to Saint-Petersburg, has occurred on the Sinai Peninsula (Egypt) October 31, 2015. Killing 224 people, including 130 residents of St. Petersburg and the 46 residents of the Leningrad region. The disaster is considered a terrorist attack.
