Tillerson: the United States will continue to resolve the crisis with North Korea “before the first bombs”

WASHINGTON, 15 Nov — RIA Novosti, Dmitry Zlatarev. The U.S. will continue diplomatic efforts to resolve the crisis around North Korea until they drop the first bomb, said the state Secretary Rex Tillerson.

“The US President (Donald trump) focused on diplomatic efforts. He is not committed to the war,” said Tillerson, in an interview with CNN.

Tillerson said that “diplomatic efforts will continue until, until I drop the first bomb.”

The DPRK, despite pressure from the international community, continues to develop its missile and nuclear programs. In early September, North Korea announced the successful test of a hydrogen warhead, and the week before has tested ballistic missiles.

After that, the UN Security Council unanimously imposed new sanctions against the DPRK, which will significantly limit the export and import capabilities of Pyongyang.

The US has repeatedly called on North Korea to stop provocations. Washington and Pyongyang are systematically exchanged harsh words and threats. So, trump the UN threatened to “completely destroy” North Korea if it will threaten the United States. In response, Kim Jong UN promised to take the most stringent in the history of the measures against American aggression.

Moscow stands for a diplomatic solution to the North Korean issue and urges all parties to the conflict to refrain from sharp statements and steps that could aggravate the situation.
