Creative freedom should not lead to tears and suffering of millions of people, says Patriarch Kirill

Moscow. 24 Oct. INTERFAX – Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia urged to think about whether the freedom of creativity, if it causes suffering of others.

“People are free to take to stroke your cat or take her legs and hit my head on the wall. Also: art can heal, to reconcile, or to inflict pain, and when it comes on insulting religious feelings, the deepest pain to millions of people”, – he told on Tuesday at session of Presidium of the Interreligious Council of Russia at the Moscow Jewish Museum and tolerance center.

The Primate said that the visit to the tolerance Center, he saw, “how to implement the freedom of those who are considered acceptable to kill others in order to achieve their own goals: too human freedom, how many tears, how much suffering!”
