In the Netherlands opened the bridge, printed on a 3D printer

MOSCOW, 17 Dec — RIA Novosti. First printed on 3D-printer bridge for cyclists has opened in the city of Gemert in the South of the Netherlands, said the Dutch company BAM Infra.

“Today opened the world’s first Cycling bridge, printed concrete,” reads the statement on the website of the company.

According to a local broadcaster NOS, the construction length of 8 meters manufactured in the laboratory of the Technical University of Eindhoven for three months. Thus, the design of the 800 layers of concrete can withstand the weight of 40 trucks.

In the near future, the laboratory of the University plans to start to print concrete houses and other structures.
