A court in Russia has extended the arrest of Ukrainian journalist Sushchenko until 30 November

Protection of the journalist will appeal the court’s decision

The Lefortovo district court of Moscow (Russia) extended the detention of the journalist of Ukrainian national information Agency “UKRINFORM” Roman Sushchenko for two months — until November 30. This was reported by lawyer mark Feigin on his page in Facebook.

“Roman Sushchenko extended the period of detention for 2 months, until 30.11.2017,” wrote the lawyer.

Feigin added that the defense will appeal against the decision.

We will remind, on September 30, 2016, the FSB of Russia have detained in Moscow the journalist “UKRINFORM” Roman Sushchenko. He was accused of espionage, during this time, the measure was extended several times. Ukraine has repeatedly asked Russia to immediately release the journalist.
