“Games undefeated”: the Ukrainian team ended the competition with 14 medals

On account of the Ukrainian team – 8 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze medals

Friday, September 29, in the canadian city of Toronto, the Ukrainian national team made up of international sports competitions “Games of the unconquered-2017”, which involved military personnel and combat veterans with disabilities acquired during the performance of official duties.

Ukrainian national team won 14 medals: 8 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze, says on its page in Facebook.

Alexander Pisarenko – gold in rowing machines category “speed – 1 minute”, the result is: 389.

Paul Bugaevskii – gold in 4 categories: 50 meters freestyle, 50 meters backstroke, 50 metres breaststroke and 100 metres freestyle.

Oleg Winter – gold in the women’s 1,500 meters. The Result Of Oleh – 4:33.78.

Roman Panchenko, the gold in archery for beginners.

Vasily Pashkevich – gold in powerlifting in the category of average weight, the best result Vasyl three attempts – 175 kg.

A team of archers (Ekaterina Mikhailova, Roman Panchenko and Valery Cancer) – silver in the team competition for beginners.

Dmitry Sidoruk – silver in archery among professionals.

Alexander Tkachenko – silver in the women’s 400 meters.

Paul Mammoth – bronze in rowing machines category “speed 1 minute.”

Vadim Sviridenko – bronze in rowing machines category “endurance for 4 minutes”.

Sergey Torchinsky – bronze in the shot put. Best attempt – 13.71 meters.

President Petro Poroshenko has congratulated Ukrainian team with a score.

“Congratulations to our team with a great debut performance at the “Games undefeated”! Invictus Games: Team Ukraine demonstrated to the world the power and invincibility of the Ukrainian soldiers. Ukraine is proud of you,” he wrote on his page in Facebook.

Recall, “Games unsubdued” (Invictus Games) is an international sporting events in the Paralympic style, founded by Prince Harry of Wales in 2014. The competition involved military personnel and veterans with disabilities acquired in the line of duty. Ukraine in 2017 for the first time became eligible to participate in the “Games undefeated” as a participant in many military exercises, peacekeeping operations under the auspices of the UN and as a country which military personnel have combat experience when performing tasks within the ATO. Together with Ukraine this year in the “Games of the unconquered,” also debuts Romania. The competition started on September 24 in Toronto.
