The authorities of Cologne decided to protect the city’s Cathedral with stone blocks

Berlin. August 23. INTERFAX – Authorities of the German Cologne adopted the decision to install the stone blocks around the Cologne Cathedral to protect this city landmark and visitors from potential terrorist attacks, said Wednesday the associated press.

The head of the local police Uwe Jakob said that the decision to enhance security measures in the city taken in connection with the terrorist attacks that took place in Barcelona last week.

Blocks weighing several hundred pounds that will be installed at the entrance to the square before the Cathedral, made of the same materials that were used in the construction of the temple.
