The Vatican’s Secretary of state will hold talks in Russia

Moscow. August 17. INTERFAX – the Visit to Russia, state Secretary of Vatican cardinal Pietro parolin next week is expected to meet with the Patriarch and the leadership of Russia, said the Secretary-General of the Conference of Catholic bishops of Russia, priest Igor Kovalevsky.

“Planned to meet with his Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill, foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov,” – said I. Kovalevsky at a press conference Thursday in Moscow.

According to him, the Secretary of state (head of government) of the Vatican also hopes to meet with Russian head of state.

It is also expected that on 21 August, the cardinal will take a mass in Moscow’s Catholic Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
