The government attaches priority importance to strengthening interethnic and interreligious accord in the country – Putin

Moscow. August 3. INTERFAX – President of Russia Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to delegates and guests of the VI Congress of the world Congress of Tatars, calling the priority issues of the preservation of the identity of each nation and strengthen interethnic accord in the country, the press service of the Kremlin.

“The state attaches priority to the issues of identity preservation and identity of each people, to strengthen peace, interethnic and interreligious harmony in the country. It is important that the success of this ambitious and highly popular work are such serious public initiative, the world Congress of Tatars, which this year celebrates its 25th anniversary,” – said in greeting the President of the Russian Federation.

According to him, the efforts of the Congress, “aimed at development of Tatar language and culture, the implementation of important educational, information projects, including in the field of international cooperation, deserve the deepest respect.”

The head of state said that the forum in Kazan participants from different regions of Russia and several foreign countries – a large, public event. “The diversity of religions, cultures, traditions is one of the main treasures of our multiethnic country”, – stressed the President.
