Ukrainian journalists asked the head of Transnistria, who owns the Crimea

The President of the unrecognized Transnistrian Moldovan Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky met with a group of Ukrainian journalists and answered a number of questions, including about whose Crimea, reported the press service of the Transnistrian leader.
“The question of whose Crimea is the consequence and cause in another. Of the reasons I said. This is a geopolitical disaster that has occurred due to collision of interests of two powers. According to the Constitution of Ukraine, this territory, of course, Ukrainian. And according to the Constitution of the Russian Federation, Crimea is the territory of the Russian Federation. Well, what can you do?” said Krasnoselskaya, with a smile, confessing that he was waiting for this question.
Ukraine still considers Crimea its but temporarily occupied territory. The Russian leadership has repeatedly stated that the inhabitants of Crimea democratically in full compliance with international law and the UN Charter voted for reunification with Russia. According to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, the Crimea issue “is closed permanently.”
Crimea and Sevastopol became the Russian regions according to the results of a referendum held in March 2014, after the state coup in Ukraine. For joining Russia voted 96.77% of voters of the Republic of Crimea and 95.6% of Sevastopol citizens.
