MOSCOW, 14 Jul — RIA Novosti. The Australian government has developed the bill according to which information technology companies will be obliged to grant security services access to encrypted messages.
“We must be sure that the Internet is not used as a “dark place” bad people to hide their criminal activity,” said Australian Prime Minister, Malcolm Turnbull, quoted by Reuters.
According to the Agency, the bill will affect such IT-giants like Facebook, the company that created the world’s largest social network, and the maker of the popular communication devices of Apple.
Previously, “Apple” Corporation has refused to disclose this information, citing privacy.
The bill will go to Parliament in August, immediately after returning of deputies from vacation, and can be approved within several months.
